Live precipitation across France. The animation shows the last 2 hours of precipitation. Switch to satellite for cloud cover. Click the markers to go to the city page.
RainViewer aggregates precipitation data from weather radar stations around the world and updates every 10 minutes. For France it uses data from Météo-France’s radar network (Leksand, Karlskrona, Vilebo, Hudiksvall and others).
The colour scale shows intensity: light blue = light rain, green = moderate rain, yellow/orange = heavy rain, red = very heavy rain or downpour.
Satellite mode shows the cloud cover from NASA’s satellite image (true-color, updated daily) — useful for seeing cloud systems across the whole country. Switch between rain and satellite with the buttons above the map.
