What are climate normals?
Climate normals are 30-year averages of meteorological parameters. Internationally, the WMO recommends using 1991-2020 as the new standard period (CLINO). The values give a picture of the typical climate for a place — not what is happening this year, but what is expected over the longer term. Source: Météo-France.
